Are you going all out on a full open bar? Or are you serving a simplified menu of beer and wine? Are you mixing up some signature cocktails to satisfy the liquor drinkers? We'll be having an open bar. It's just something we already knew we wanted to do considering everything else our guests will already have to pay (especially OOT).

Yea and nay lol. We are doing a consumption bar up to a certain limit ($3k-$4k total). So to the guests it will appear to be a full open bar but we aren’t paying the per person price of an open bar

We’re not doing any alcohol. Neither of us drink, it’s not who we are, and we want our wedding to reflect different aspects of us

Yea. I don't personally drink, but I want to make sure my guests have whatever they want when they attend my wedding (I'm also the person who goes and spends on multiple types of alcohol whenever I host people at my house).

We’re doing beer, wine, champagne and his, hers, and ours signature cocktails. I’m thinking if we do a whiskey drink, a tequila drink, and a gin drink (our favorite liquors), that will appeal to enough people. And those that don’t like any of our cocktail choices can have beer, wine, or champagne. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think a full open bar is nice but very expensive lol.

We are doing a limited open bar with beer and wine (hoping it stays open but when the booze runs out we'll have to switch to cash bar which is common where I live) !

Yea!! Champagne toast to start and then a full open premium bar for five hours. I've never been to a wedding without an open bar. It's just unheard of where I'm from.

Full Open Bar. Our venue allows us to stock it how we want.. which was actually cheaper than other venues and guest paying or us paying a tab. We don't have heavy drinkers in our guests, so I think this is the perfect touch to keep everyone "happy".

I feel like if you have the money then hey go nuts. But for the majority of us that don't or are paying for our wedding definitely not. I know will have far too many people there to even think of paying for everyone's drinks.

Yea!!! This is something we definitely budgeted for but we feel is a necessity! We're paying for the wedding ourselves, but we found a venue that has shelf options. We're serving bottom or mid shelf to keep it cheaper, and guests really don't care as long as it's free!

Yea! Although, it doesn't bother me either way, I've been to weddings with open bar, cash bar, and no bar, and stalk the dessert bar more than the drinks!

Just Beer & Wine for us- we have a cider option for my gluten free friends, but I didn't think it was really necessary to do liquor. Our venue is only open until 9pm so the plan is to go to the bar afterward anyway!

Yes! We’ll be having a full bar. FH is very excited for this! And to make our “signature drinks!”

Nay, we're doing a cash bar but it's cheap. Doing an open bar is too much it was like $600 or more. Just cause we needed to find our own bartender, hire security, and pay for the drinks. Also having people pay will deter certain people that can't handle alcohol well from drinking. They have options from wine to beer and I think I saw one it two liquors.
