Are you going all out on a full open bar? Or are you serving a simplified menu of beer and wine? Are you mixing up some signature cocktails to satisfy the liquor drinkers? No, but we are having the party at a brewery (we are craft brew people!) with a minimum beer/wine/craft soda spend. Multiple flavors of each will be there, and people will be unhappy only if they choose to be. We would have to cater in a liquor bar, as the brewery is not licensed for that. But the beer is SO good, and they will also provide water! And the soda is all made locally!

We are doing an open bar, but only beer and wine. Our venue doesn't allow liquor, which is fine because it is easier to plan for beer and wine. I'm planning to get beer from Costco, and order wine from one of my favorite wineries, who has discounts on large orders.

No, they’re very expensive and I think hosting beer and wine is more than enough.

Nay. Full open bars can run a HUGE tab and we plan to have a cash bar which includes 3 beers, 3 wines, and 3 liquors that can be mixed. We will provide our guests a champagne toast on us.

Nay, beer and wine all the way. It's the perfect way to keep people happy and not go crazy on the budget!

Nah - My FH and I are paying for the entire wedding ourselves and just don't have the funds for it. We considered it at first, but my best friend and sister both said I shouldn't. On the other hand, however, my FMIL said we should. We're getting married in NH where it is not always expected and a lot of my FH's family is from NY an NJ where I believe it's more often expected. Either way, we just don't have the money to cover it so people are just going to have to be ok with that! haha..

Yay!! A full open bar is really important to us. Also doing a champagne wall at the cocktail hour /doubling as seating chart.

We are having a full open bar. Our venue has an impressive selection of beer, wine and liquor. I just can't imagine charging our guests for drinks.

Nope. I've heard too many bad stories eith liquor and I know my friends. We'll be doing beer, wine, champagne and mimosas for our brunch reception. Free to the guests and I'm buying it all from trader Joe's and returning whatever bottles I don't use

Full open bar! I love cocktails (hate beer. Picky with wine) and my entire family loves to drink even at any small function, so had to do it up for our wedding! And we found a package we could afford that included it!

We're having a cash bar, largely due to the fact that we've attended too many weddings that had open bars or BYOB and seen things get out of control very fast. This will theoretically help the night go a little smoother.
