Fun Bridesmaid activities

What type of fun activities are you all planning with your bridesmaids? Besides the bachelorette/showers people will throw for you all. JUST TO BE CLEAR- I'm not referring to asking them to throw parties for me or to treat me like a princess. Simple activities that you'll do together the night...

I don't think it's realistic to expect to have activities the day of your wedding, or even the night before. It's a huge day, and you don't want to really worry about creating a program of activities for your BP to do. You'll want to check everything is ready, get some sleep, and then get gorgeous in the morning. Plus you'll all be doing make-up and hair, having pictures taken - it's all special enough without working in more activities just for the sake of activities.

I think HOW you do things is more important than what you do. As everyone is getting ready, take each girl aside and give her an individual and sincere thank you for standing beside you on the day. Walk around as everyone is getting their make-up done and tell Katie her smoky eye look is perfect and Natalie how flattering her new hair color is or whatever. When lunch comes, propose a toast to friendship and then use the time to catch up a bit on what's going on in their lives, since you've probably been super busy over the last few weeks and months and may have missed some major developments without meaning to.

That will mean more to them than anything you organize and will make the day more special for them.

FH and I are getting married near a beach (NEAR because I don't like sand).... We're renting a beach house for the entire bridal party and their spouses to stay in. We're getting married on a Friday so we're renting the beach house from Wednesday to Sunday. It has hot tubs and private beach access so I imagine a couple of those nights will be spent soaking in a hot tub with my lady friends, and I also know for sure I want to pamper my girls with mani/pedis the day before. Everyone doesn't know each other, but ALL of FH and I's friends are awesome so I know this will be an epic weekend..... With lots of wine! lol

I'm going to take my niece (jr bridesmaid) out for a mani/pedi but other than that nothing. I did take them out for apps/drinks before dress shopping. One of them is also going to a bridal show with me so I'm paying for her (obviously) and buying her a glass of champagne while we're there.

Add on to above post: I'm also going to provide mimosas while we're getting ready. Op, I'm sorry you're getting a ton of backlash for what seems like a sincere question. A lot of people on here bristle if there's even a MENTION that the bp does more than just show up the day of in a dress. I get where you're coming from though.

We are all getting our nails done together the day before. The hotel the wedding is at is next to ballpark village. So I think us and the groomsmen will go hang out there together the night before

I haven't really planned anything with any of them, besides the regular hanging out we normally do together. We went shopping the other day but that was just because we felt like shopping it wasn't wedding related, and I honestly needed a break from wedding stuff and some laughs with friends. I think we may get manicures and pedicures the day before the wedding together but it's not set in stone, I mentioned that I was doing it the day before and a few of my BM's said they wanted to too.

Omg the few comments soooooo unnecessary. Ughhhh.... None of my bridesmaids have been to the city where our wedding is taking place. So FH hubby is cool with me inviting them over Memorial Day weekend to come. They'll be doing the food tasting with us and then we're gonna get a suite downtown on the river, do dinner & drinks and just have girls weekend over the holiday.

We are going to a day spa the night before and wine tasting a few days before that! They also want to do a Mudderella race with me for my birthday (lol)

Hmmm well not immediately before, but we were thinking of doing Bridal Wars competition. Woohoo

As for the day before, most likely rehearsal and dinner. Where they'll get their gifts. They'll have the option to stay on grounds. And the morning of, I planned on having breakfast and mimosas for all of us while we're getting ready. That's about it I think. I live in a different state than they do, so I can't actually do too too much.

I am so glad that I have such awesome sisters and friends that are going to be my bridesmaids. THEY want to help with wedding stuff (which I didn't expect them to) My best friend and little sister are planning a night with pajamas and wine to make some decorations. The night before the wedding I am sure we will doing a girls sleepover with wine and pajamas.

@Nessa I love the idea and doing a dinner party for the bridal party.

@SoonToBeMrs sorry for the hate you are getting. This place is notorious for it.

Anyways, i think mani/pedi idea is always good. Food, because you cant go wrong without food.

(I know people will have a cow about this but)I am going to host a PureRomance party so i can have all my BMs and (female) family to have drinks and laughs. Will be telling them that no gift is necessary for this, just want a girls night of fun!

My BM will be traveling far for our wedding, so I am trying to make sure that I have time with them (or their families) to properly thank them for being part of our day.

The Friday before our wedding is MoH's birthday, so I am surprising her with a birthday celebration that includes her favorite cake and good energy.

One of my BM is coming several days in advance and wants to do yoga and adventures, so that is what I will be doing with her (her son wants to swim with the dolphins, so swim with the dolphins we shall). Another BM is vegan, and there's an amazing vegan adventure available that I am hoping to do with her (a farm-to-table cafe in the mountains).

I am allowing them to take the lead in things, but making sure I carve out time to spend in a way that makes them happy, and then the morning of we'll get ready together with sparkling wine and lunch.

My girls love brunch. So back in November close to my bday, we all got together for brunch. It was cool because they all got to meet. We talked Wedding for like 10 minutes lol. The day before we have a rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. I'm not adding anything to that. The morning of the wedding, I'm going to provide mimosas and breakfast. I just want everyone to feel pampered. The next day my family is throwing a BBQ kickback. So it will be a busy, full weekend with lots of laughter and alcohol. My girls love me for it.

@Delfina That's what I'm talking about: getting pictures together, getting ready. I think those things are fun to do together without having to go above and beyond to create additional stuff.

Other than getting makeup and hair down together the day of (my treat) I'm catering lunch for us that day to eat in my hotel room. Maybe a champagne toast.
