Funny Kid Wedding/Marriage Quotes

I thought it might be fun to see if anyone else has a "from the mouths of babes" gems to share...mine goes like this:

Context: my best friend's wedding, in which my little brother was the ring bearer and had thrown the practice ring box (actually a hymnal) at the BM during the rehearsal because he didn't know what to do

My BFF: H., did you enjoy the wedding?

My 5-year-old little brother: Yes! I want to go to your next wedding!

Everyone: *dies laughing*

But for real, he was adorable:

    He is super adorable!

Not as funny as yours, but at my wedding my sister was standing next to me. As we walked back down after the ceremony my niece (2 years old) loudly called out, "Mama, bye?"

When my mom and step dad got married, they were having a very small wedding. I was MOH and my step brothers were GM. There was no other wedding party. My step father comes from a very large family and four days before the wedding, my cousin stood up at the dinner table (she was 6) and shouted "They don't know how to have a wedding! They aren't even having a flower girl!" So suddenly they had four flower girls.

Mines more sweet than anything, my little 3 year old niece is sooo excited to be our flower girl and wear a "flower dress". For awhile she was convinced that she was going to marry my FH someday too. It was pretty cute.

Earlier this week, my sister was planning my shower and apparently asked her what they should give me as a gift. She answered, "a car" they asked her what else, she said "lots and lots of hugs" and they said is there anything else she would like and she said "lots and lots of kisses". She is such a sweetie.

To be fair, when I was 10 my step aunt invited us to her wedding but she spelled my name Sara on the invitation. I was pissed. "They spelled my name wrong! We're not going!"

My baby nephew thought he was going to be a bear instead of a ring bearer. Ha!

I love all of these. Smiley smile @FutureMrs2017, that reminds me of the time one of my friends' ring bearer didn't know what a ring bearer was, so he assumed he was going to be a flower boy. Haha

Not a quote, more a silly anecdote. My SILs were 7 at the time DH and I got engaged, and when we Skyped his family to tell them I'd said yes, the girls both immediately started screaming "Bridesmaids!!!". That was all they cared about, that they would be bridesmaids. We didn't see them again for the rest of the call because they were off planning their bridesmaid-ness. What was very touching is later, when the bridesmaid frenzy had subsided a bit, they got so excited when they realized we would be becoming "sisters" once I married their brother, they started calling us triplets, since they are twins and I'd be their sister. That was pretty adorable.

When my mom was doing a fitting on my four year old cousin's flower girl dress, the fg started sobbing. BIG TEARS.

    Her mom: Julie, what's wrong?

FG: Mom, I'm too young to get married!!!

We still remind her of this almost 40 years later Smiley smile

My flower girl is packed with sass and spunk. After I asked her to be my flower girl, she immediately started planning my wedding! It was hilarious. She took it very seriously. She whipped out her cake making game and designed 3 cakes for me, made all my food on another cooking game, and "talked business" about my colors, her dress, and what was allowed at the wedding. It was too funny!

When my god-brother got married, they had a morning after brunch. When he and his new wife arrived their 4 year old cousin walked right up, patted the new wife on the belly and said "so, is there a baby in there now?". She was mortified.

At my bridal shower last week, my nine year old jr. bridesmaid anxiously cornered me to ask if the wedding rehearsal was a "dress rehearsal" where she had to wear her bridesmaids dress, because her mom had already purchased her a rehearsal dinner dress.

This has happened twice since the wedding with the 4 year old little girl who was our RB:

Trying to convince her that her playtime with me was over because it was time for me to go home, we brought up that DH would like to have his wife back. She thinks about it for a bit and then goes, "Okay, tell him he can borrow his wife."

No personal funny stories but a Funny story about my cousin! when she was about 4 or 5 years old she decided she wanted to watch her parents wedding video. About half way through when it reached the part at the reception she started hysterically crying. When her mom asked what was wrong she replied "why wasn't I invited to your wedding didn't you want me there? " poor child! Her mom had to keep explaining that she wasn't even born yet while trying to contain her laughter! We still all laugh and tease her about it till this day!

I know a little boy who thought a bridal shower was where a lot of women got naked and took a huge community bath
