Galveston Honeymoon... HELP!

Tiffany, on June 11, 2015 at 5:38 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 9

My fiance and I are getting married at Crystal Beach in October. We are from Texas so we know how the beaches are. We go to the beach or try to at the least once a year but always stay in cheap hotels or just go for the day. We will only be taking a 2 day "honeymoon" because we are going on a cruise next year for our "real honeymoon". I am in need of help with decently priced hotels that are nice enough to feel like a honeymoon. I've been hunting for quite some time now. PLEASE HELP!

What hotels have you looked at? And what's your price range?

Not sure what your budget is for this, but checkout Moody Gardens.

There's a Hilton on Seawall that's really nice!

Ya Moody Gardens isn't bad and has a shuttle that'll take you to the Strand and such. Hotel Galvez is nice and around $150 a night in October. You should be finding decent prices in October since it is so slow during that time in Galveston.

One of my old co-workers (she resigned like a month ago) got married in Galveston and they rented a beach house it was so nice (from the pictures). That might be a bit more secluded and romantic.

I suggest checking out AirBnB rentals - there are so many that are priced well in a lot of places, and you could rent an entire condo or apartment or even a house! I'm going to Mississippi in October to visit my brother and we are planning on booking one for $140 a night and it is a nice condo with two bedrooms, a full kitchen/living room/wifi etc. and also has a pool so we can swim.

I would save up the money and stay at the Tremont House. That's what we did for 2 nights after our wedding. Heaven. Super pricey, but worth it.

Otherwise, check out weekend rentals. There are tons of beachouses that rent, and your wedding is off-season.

I AM SOOOO SORRY FOR THE LATE RESPONSE!!!

We are renting two beach houses to house the bridal party and our parents. (attached are the pics)

For the night before one house will be for the girls(pink one) and the other for the guys(green/blue one). they sleep 12 each... After the wedding we are wanting to go somewhere so that it is more private thats why we were thinking maybe a hotel. I was told about Quality Inn and suites on the sea wall.... we dont want to spend more that 150.00 a night (would love to spend less of course lol )

We tossed up kicking everyone out of one house but then we know if we do that we wont actually go "to bed" at a decent hour.
