Games or other ideas in place of "clinking glasses" for Bride/Groom to Kiss?

Danielle, on February 3, 2013 at 8:10 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10

I am looking for ideas as an alternative to clinking glasses for the newlywed couple to kiss. I've been to weddings where their has been a giant die to roll, I've been to weddings where the newlywed would "copy" a kiss done by the requesting individuals... does anyone else have some fun alternatives?

At ours people had to go to the microphone and say a movie quote and we kissed longer if they said it in the characters voice

One wedding I went to, a whole table had to sing a line from a song that included the word "love" in it.

I went to one where everyone had to put their names in "for a draw". Whenever there was clinking of the glasses, the bride or groom drew a name out and that person had to kiss someone sitting next to him/her.

I saw one on youtube once where the guest came up to a box that was sitting on the table in front of the bride and groom, and they would drop in a quarter for a peck, fifty cents for two pecks, and a dollar for a longer kiss. The box had the words HM Fund written on it so i guess they were raising funds. Kinda weird but interesting all the same and nobody there seemed to have any issue with it.

Donate at least 50 cents for a kiss... for a children's medical charity that is special to us. My Aunt is against this idea, but I dont want her controlling our wedding so I was like "thanks for the opinion..."

At my daughters wedding there will be in clanking, ringing or anything else for a kiss. She is very shy and not into PDA it just wont happen.

Maybe for a million she would make an exception but I doubt it.

I saw on Pinterest a game for it- on every table there was a list of things you could do to get them to kiss and a notice that they wouldnt kiss for glass clinking- it included stuff like the whole table singing a love song to them, the whole table dancing to Thriller or some other song, collecting signatures of 10 guests, things that make it harder than the clinking.
