Garter “game”

Rachael , on March 31, 2018 at 11:23 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 24
So I’ve heard of the groom being blindfolded and a few women and maybe a couple men are lined up with the bride and the groom has to pick which one is his bride based off of the leg. Has anyone done this and was it fun or awkward? And if so, how many people did you use to do it?

I have never ever heard of this and honestly I would not agree to it. It’s kind of weird and I wouldn’t want to make my friends uncomfortable. Most people don’t even like the traditional garter - let alone a “game” that lets the groom feel up a bunch of different women??

    Nope. No thanks

If I were one of these women, I'd feel pretty awkward...
But if I were one of these men, I'd feel even worse 😂
I sure don't want FH touching Aunt Judy's leg and saying it's mine 😂
It's not really my thing and I wouldn't do it, but you can do whatever you want if all parties are comfortable and agree to it.

I can't imagine anything more uncomfortable, for everyone all around. Hard pass for me.

I’ve never seen this done. Not entirely sure if I even want to do the garter toss at all. I wouldn’t be comfortable having my husband feeling random legs to determine which was mine.

Have never heard of it and would have happily stayed that way. This just sounds uncomfortable for everyone

I've heard of it and on the surface it sounds funny ("oh haha! He just felt uncle Dan's hairy leg!") but in reality I would be extremely uncomfortable having someone other than FH feeling up my leg. Not to mention FH would be disgusted touching someone elses leg. It depends on your crowd I suppose

That sounds awful. I would not let a friend's partner (or anyone other than my fiance) feel up my leg.

Ehhh this is pretty cringey. I've never heard of it and would be super uncomfortable being the bride or a guest.

Why would you even want to do this? Hats the more important question here

Definite no. So many ways for that to go terribly, terribly wrong.

I've never seen or heard of this. And I would find it terribly awkward!! We aren't doing a bouquet or garter toss because I dont need my family seeing FH up my dress, and also, we dont have very many truly single friends and family.

I think it would be pretty difficult to get volunteers for this game. If I was the guest and they asked me I would for sure say no.

I couldn't think of better way to start out a marriage: by feeling other people up.

😬😬😬 ⬅️ this is the face I make when I imagine my FH feeling up anyone’s leg at the wedding... my younger sister, his uncle, one of my friends. Everyone would be cringing. And FH would never agree to it in the first place. You could modify it to be shaking hands. I’ve also heard of a game where either the bride or groom is blindfolded and has to find clothes pins attached to their spouse. The guests have to yell out hot or cold to to help them find the pins. That might be a fun alternative.

That's not any better. Now he's literally groping her body trying to find pins and everyone is very uncomfortably shouting directions not wanting see what's happening
