Garter, is it necessary

Nicole, on July 19, 2019 at 12:13 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 26

Hey ladies! I just had a thought....I've found decent priced garters, but is it really worth wearing one on your wedding day if you're not doing a garter toss anyway? Will it be missed if I don't wear one? just curious on your thoughts!

I'm definitely not doing a garter toss, but I do think I might still wear one for my FH Smiley xd

Same here! I didn't want to spend the extra money on a garter. Nothing wrong with that!

I did one. It was also my something blue. I bought a cheap one off eBay it was like $1 aha so it's not missed when it gets taken by someone in the garter toss

I’m not doing a toss but I got a cheap one just for fun. It’s also my something blue.

I'm not doing a garter toss but I think I'll still wear one for my FH and also because it might probably be my something blue. Either that or my shoes. Still debating. Either way, it's definitely not necessary.

I'm skipping it entirely. Dresses don't need any more complication

We aren't doing a garter toss, but I still bought one to wear. I bought a Michigan Wolverines one, because that is my FH's favorite college sport team.

No one will "miss" it because no one will see it anyway. Skip it if you don't care.

It's not necessary unless you want it. I did it my first wedding, probably not doing it this time. it's an expense I don't really need. If we do it'll be a fast toss, and no production of the guy catching it getting frisky with the woman who catches the bouquet. I hate that. I've seem to many near fistfights at weddings over it

Definitely not necessary. It really comes down to a personal choice. For me, my garter is my something blue, and I like the idea of wearing one, even though we aren't doing the garter toss. But it certainly is not everyone's cup of tea!

We wore them, because it was our "something blue." But it's not going to be "missed" if you don't wear one; only you will know whether you have it on.

I'm not wearing one because i'm old and no longer have a thigh gap and it just looks to me like it would rub and be really uncomfortable.

It’s not important. I had one but totally forgot to wear it! But, I ultimately didn’t miss it!

I didn't even think about this, but that's such a good point, I would definitely have chub rub
