Garter Toss alternative-cute or tacky?

So we wanted to do something for the guys, and without my FH going up my skirt in front of 150 people (awk). Well we decided that instead of ME wearing the garter, FH will wear it and I will take it off of him. And just kind of reverse it. I just want to know if you were a guest at a wedding where they did this would you think cute or tacky?

Oh my God....I have never heard of such a thing but it' brilliant! We were going to cut it out of the wedding all together along with the bouquet toss just because it's always awkward to force people to catch those things but this actually sounds like such a great idea hahaha you could even make it a unisex toss so the men and women can catch it together if you aren't tossing a bouquet.

I've done that. We still announced the groom out, then when he got to the bride, just before he knelt down, she hopped up, grabbed him by the shirt/tie, and put him in the chair. It really suited their dynamic.
