Garter toss, yay or nay.

Will do it because I’ll do the bouquet toss. Something for the single guys to also look for. It will be done tastefully because my daddy will be there!!!! I think it just adds to the fun of the wedding day. So to each her own! Cheers 🥂

I’m skipping the garter, but will still do bouquet. I’m very close with both my parents, but I think about my dad with this whole thing. Im such a daddy’s girl and I don’t want to be weirded out knowing my dad is watching my husband go underneath my dress. I’ve always felt it was an odd thing.

As someone who has caught not 1, but 2 bouquets I cannot leave out the bouquet toss. As for the garter. I left it up to my fiancé who thinks it’s kinda sexy so we r doing it lol

Personally not a fan. Don’t really want an intimate piece of my clothing thrown to a group of men I’m not going to marry. Seems kinda gross to me.

I find it easier to get the guest involved when you have something for them! I plan to do it but in a different way!! Don’t want any fighting over a piece of elastic and some flowers! But traditionally I do plan to do it!

We are skipping the garter toss. Never really understood the tradition.

I plan to do the garter and bouquet for my wedding. My parents did both at their wedding and the 5 year old ring bearer caught the garter and had to put it on my Aunts leg! Very funny, I hope I can keep the tradition going and have some laughs too!

I think the tosses can still be fun if you’re doing it simply just to toss stuff to a catchy song 😂 Honestly I think people don’t attach the “meanings” that first came about to the two tosses like they used to - and you don’t really have to think of them in that way! 😊


We simply cut out the “removal part” for the garter toss because I definitely did not want people watching my husband go up my dress. We bought a Houston Astros themed garter since we are both huge fans, our coordinator simply handed it to him after my bouquet toss, and he sling-shot it across the room while making really funny faces 😂😂😂 The pictures the photographer caught are priceless 🤣
