Geeky Ceremony for a Geeky Couple

Who is having a geek themed ceremony/reception or is incorporating items into the decorations? Our theme is Geek Chic and we are working with the venue and our planner to ensure it is fun and us but elegant and not tacky.

@Mrs. Faith she probably made her profile private---it will remove your account picture too. Annoying.

My FH and I love geeky stuff (we met in video games actually) but we're not having any of it in our wedding other than some music that we doubt any of our guests will recognize. I would have so much fun attending a geeky wedding as a guest though.

We are having a Jurassic Park themed wedding, does that count? Lol. Our tables are named after dinosaurs, our card box will have dinosaurs on them thanks to my aunt, we have the banner from the movie that will hang probably where our Polaroid guest book will be, we have our names in the logo that will be surrounded by our seating chart. Our entrance into the reception will be the theme song, and our cake toppers are velociraptors painted to look like the two main characters from the movie (Grant and Sattler). Oh and our centerpieces will have flowers on top of a terrarium filled with a dinosaur for each table. I can't wait to see everything come together!!!!! Oh and the song for when my dad and I walk down the aisle is the slow song from the movie when they leave the island.

@Erika That's awesome! We met in possibly the nerdiest game possible---we were both trying out Lord of the Rings Online. Sometimes it's just easier to tell people we met on a dating app, lol.

We're definitely having at least one lord of the rings songs in our wedding music, but nobody is going to know the reference.

Newbies there is a lot of history going on in here. This is first hand experience of the expression "ww never forgets"

As you can clearly see. We do not forget.

Not forgetting is one thing...but derailing an innocent thread to make fun of someone is a bit tedious. If you don't like the poster why not move on? Pretty sure Karen has at least 20 WW stalkers who live for her threads.

I'm asking that in a legit way...like what's the point? Where's the gratification in it?

Still haven't had a lifesaver since

ETA: Why did my explanation of why posters were responding in the way that they were on this post as a direct result of the OPs actions get flagged?
