Geeky Ceremony for a Geeky Couple

Who is having a geek themed ceremony/reception or is incorporating items into the decorations? Our theme is Geek Chic and we are working with the venue and our planner to ensure it is fun and us but elegant and not tacky.

My favorite is still the bride wearing the wings with a tiered reception (only out of towners got food) - but don't worry, there's a dollar dance, multiple live bands, and an engagement video to entertain everyone else!

We etched vases with the characters from sword art online. Our cake will be totally geeked out. Our card box is a wooden box that resembles a loot chest with his last name in Vulcan letters. Then for the the guest book I made a map of all the imaginary fantasy places for people to sign.

We had "The Imperial March" from "The Empire Strikes Back", but that was our only geeky touch. Still, I thought it set the mood of lighthearted frivolity.

SWTOR was pretty great (on release).

Antonia--that necklace is sooo pretty. I asked FH if my band could be the One Ring and he said that's too nerdy. But we still haven't gotten a band for me soo....

My FH and I decided to do a little geeky since videogames has made up a big part of both our lives. In particular for me, it was Final Fantasy X and VII. I

We're between staying subtle and focusing on the Macalania Woods from FFX. Its gorgeous and gives an enchanted woods feeling. So my color is blue. Playing with the idea of using bonsai trees as center pieces. @PushingButtons, I'm also choosing to walk down the aisle to the orchestra version of Aeriths theme. FH wants to use the victory battle theme for the recessional by I think I'd be embarrassed. Our first dance will be to Suteki DA Ne. FH wants to get a keyblade to cut the cake but I'd prefer a mini replica of a sword... And I'm trying to convince a board game would make a great guest book! That's where we're at. Love to see everyone else's ideas!!

@Holly I remember her!! I remember her wedding website where she mentioned how they met and how they had to leave that concert early to do "adult" things. I also remember her wedding registry page that had an enthusiastic "more to come!!!!!" like her people are on the edge of their seat waiting to get them things.
