Getting drinks at bar?

I would imagine that someone would grab a drink for the bride, maybe a member of the bridal party or the DOC? I don't think anyone would make the bride stand in line lol

If you have a DOC, they will typically make sure that you have drinks. Most guests will probably tell you to get in line in front of them or the bartender will just call you up to the front of the line, but I'm not the type of person to be like "move, I'm the bride." I don't mind waiting just like everyone else.

My DOC brought me drinks. H went up to grab a beer at some point and they asked if the bride wanted anything. I had a special drink I wanted made so I ended up at the bar with the recipe to show them. The only "special treatment" I got was they gave me mixed drinks on the house when our bar was open beer wine only.

Our caterer told us that he's going to have a waiter designated to bring us food and drinks at our sweetheart table so we don't have to worry about it. Definitely talk to your caterer or bartender if they have wait staff that are going to be serving guests, if you don't have a DOC.

I'm exactly the same way, I normally don't mind waiting at all but I also feel like that's time I could be spending welcoming more guests. Okay, will figure it out!!!

Other people brought me drinks all night, so I never went up to the bar, but I would have if I'd needed to - I can wait in line like everyone else lol

I would jsut plan to stand in line - but it's unlikely that you would ever have to because people will insist you head to the front. Dont' worry about this at all.

We had champagne & a drink of choice at our sweetheart table when we sat down (thanks to our caterer). After that, I just walked up to the bar! We had 4 bars so there wasn't a line. If there was a line, I would not have been standing in it though haha! I didn't have a ton of time for drinking since there was so much talking & picture taking & dancing though.

Someone should always bring you a drink!! Whether someone from your bridal party, caterer, DOC, etc... it's pretty standard to have random guests at your reception ask if you need anything.

Between friends, family, and staff, I have never seen a bride or groom wait in line for a drink or food. Everyone is always great about bringing them to you.

The coordinator for our wedding let the wait staff know what our “drink of choice” was and we always had a drink. Someone from the wait staff was always making sure my drink was full.

I would just walk up to the front 😂
