Getting Engagement Ring Resized

I was able to get mine resized while we waited, but I think that was only because my fiancé knew the gemologist he worked with to pick out my ring, so she was able to have one of her guys do it for us on the spot and it took about 30-40 minutes if that.

I was really lucky. My FH proposed to me with my mothers ring and took me shopping to have the diamond set in something I like. My friend took us to her jewelry and they had a setting I could take home that day. Within a couple of hours my moms stone was set in the new ring and it was also sized down to fit me! I would have gone crazy if the setting I chose had to be ordered. It would have been 4 weeks if he had to order a setting. I would have been extremely impatient!

Lucky for me, the local jewellery store had mine resized in less than two hours.

I only had my ring for 2 weeks before I needed to get the stone fixed (FH had it resized before he gave it to me and in the process the diamond was knocked loose).

It's now currently getting the diamond tightened. It's been about a week and a half and I'm so ready to have it back!

I am so anxious to get it back! Those of you who had it done in just a few hours or less are lucky! I'm pretty sure Kay's has to send them out to get done at some of the stores. I should get it back by the 5th! Just over 2 more days!
