Getting eye brows waxed or threading them for the wedding day.

Erika, on June 22, 2018 at 10:43 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 16

Last Saturday, my make up artist for my wedding told me to get them done 2 to 3 days prior the big day but I usually get them waxed but don't know if threading them will look much better. Which technique works better for you and that won't irritate your face.

I wouldnt try something new right before your wedding day. I have done both and I prefer waxing, to me its faster and less painful.

I’ve been getting my eyebrows threaded for YEARS literally probably 10+ now and I love it and wouldn’t think of doing anything else ! That being said .. I’ve been going to the same person so she knows exactly how I Like my eyebrows, and honestly I always get compliments on the shape of them lol... but if you have someone you’ve been going to for a while to wax them and you trust then I would stick with that person, you don’t want your eyebrows to be messed up at your wedding !

If you're used to getting them waxed, then stick to what works. I threaded my eyebrows one time and the girl took a chunk of extra hair and it took almost a month to grow back. If they are trained correctly it would work. Do your research on the artist first.

I had my brows waxed ( a must!) and I did a an upper lip and chin wax too. It gave my face a nice smooth surface. I had mine done the Thursday before my Sat afternoon wedding.

I find waxing to be less painful. Also, threading irritated my skin and caused painful bumps to appear on my face in the areas i got threaded. It appeared the same day, so be careful. It would suck to get threaded and your skin to break out on your wedding day.

Thank you very much for your feedback, I was just undecided and taught why not try something new. But you are right go with something I am used to.

Thank you FutureMrsJ. I sure don't want to be stressing out last minute or regretting it afterwards.

Have you done either before? I wouldn't do either if you've never done them. I've been told threading is less irritating though.

I have been waxing them which t only gets red just for a bit but doesn't irritate my face. I guess I will try threading afterwards.

I would stick to waxing and not try something new so close to your wedding. If, you want to try threading, do it at least one month before your day. I will be waxing 2 days before.

I have never tried threading, I have never had a bad reaction to wax. I did, however spend $$$ on the best waxed, lol. I usually go to a local beauty school for all my stuff, fine. But for this? I went to my former salon and made an appt with the best young lady. In August for my October wedding! Saved my $$$ elsewhere, lol. This is YOUR FACE.
Good luck and happy waxing threading!

Like PP have said I wouldn’t try anything new and waxing is less painful, but I believe that’s just because it’s quicker. You get used to threading, it lasts longer and I had to switch becuase the wax caused break outs for me.

I've always done wax, tried threading and didn't like them as much as I normally do. Don't deviate from what you are used to doing
