I'm looking into makeup artists and it seems so expensive to bring someone out just for me to get my makeup done! Definitely cheaper to do it in a salon, but our venue is a ways from the nearest place with salons. Ideally, I'd love to get it done at a salon and then head to the venue for the day but that would mean several hours between makeup and ceremony. Thoughts?

My sister-in-law did this. Got make up done downtown around 9:00Am and wedding was at 2 in a different part of town. Worked just find. Maybe have some make up in a bag for touch ups in case something happens but it shouldn't be a huge issue.
