Getting married Aug 7th

What kind of wedding are you going for? You may be cutting it close for anything formal or elaborate, but if your intention all along is for something small, you may have just enough time. If you're only inviting a few people, then you should get those invitations out soon. A venue might be a little tricky, unless again, you're going for informal. I don't know if you're religious, but you could probably still get a local church. If you're interested in an outdoor wedding, you could probably still have it at a park or any other informal outdoor setting. I'd start calling other vendors - DJ, florist, photographer, etc. - NOW! With the world reopening again, everyone is booking left and right. Good luck!

Getting married August 7th as well. Whatever it is you want out of your day write it down, scratch it off the list when it’s done and keep going. Use a timeline so you don’t get overwhelmed. Ex: “(I’m going to do this on this date, I’ll call this vendor on this day and follow up on this day)” I agree with handling the most important things first and keep things simple/elegant you’ll need more time for complex things.

I’ve had my date planned for last year but because of covid it’s now this year. Aug 7th.
And I am 8 weeks away and literally just have my dress and venue and the party outfits. Everything else in Doing things as I go now in food and transportation. Not really in a rush. I prioritized the big main stuff first and the small things I do every day I’m off. I am also decorating everything with my Cricut and everything is handmade. Everything is so expensive and delivery will be so far after the wedding it ain’t worth it.

View Quoted Comment I’m close to done. I got the big things booked so that makes it easier. I’m having a small on and it’s on a boat in Santa Barbara, only bad thing is that is fiesta week. So that made things A LOT harder to get reservations and book anything.

I’m getting Married on August 7th and we honestly didn’t really start getting into the BIG OR SMALL planning until around February or March, yet it’s ALMOST all completely where we need it and we had to work with a tight budget and such so I used some odd techniques and ideas (especially when it came to vendors), but if you can afford to spend more, that can help you with more options and things like that.

August 7 over here! Wrapping up planning but still feel like there is SO MUCH to do.
