Getting married before the big day!

For me (the bride) no. I'm still just as excited for the celebration of marriage as I was for the minimony. I will say for my now husband, yes. He's trying to be excited for me but I can tell the minimony was all he needed. It will be a special day regardless!

View Quoted Comment My brother and sister-in-law were the same way. They had a tiny ceremony with just them, parents and siblings. SIL wanted to have the big “wedding”, my brother didn’t. They ended up doing a vow renewal at the church and having a big reception after. They spent a small fortune, SIL was excited during the planning phase… but by the time the event actually rolled around, neither one of them was really excited. it was more of a “let’s just get this over with“ vibe. Pretty sure they now both wish they had just saved the money LOL

But I do know it's a total waste of money, it's just something I want so for me it's worth it. I'm sure hubby is thinking "let's get this over with" lol! But so far he's been playing along and we're a month away so fingers crossed it doesn't change

We won't have anyone with us, it's more for him and I to be married, especially in case things need to be canceled! No one is going to know, except us!
