Hi Everyone! Where are you choosing to get ready the day of? Smiley laugh

Our venue has a beautiful bridal suite but they are only allowing us to get ready an hour before the wedding. I am thinking of possibly getting hair/makeup done in a large hotel suite (there will be me, both moms, and 7 bridesmaids) and having a limo drive us to the venue to finish getting ready? or is that too much? I think it would probably be easiest to get ready in one location. It's unfortunate, the bridal suite is gorgeous and I would love to get photos in it. However, it's just not possible with them giving us only one hour. Maybe we could get ready and arrive an hour early to take photos? I may just forget about the bridal suite...I'm sure there will be plenty of gorgeous photos otherwise.

My venue isn’t giving me much time in the bridal suit either! I’m planning on getting ready at the hotel and then just using the suite to change into my dress.

I'm getting ready in a hotel with my bridesmaids, we're going to get hair and makeup done there, and then get dressed at the venue in the bridal suite. I figure that would be easiest that way no one really sees me in my dress until it is time for the ceremony.

We are getting ready at my parents house. Our venue is only 25 mins away. The guys will all be at our house.

This is all so great, thanks guys. For those that are getting ready at a hotel + going to the venue after, are you renting a limo to take everyone to the venue?

I am doing the same. My venue allows us 2.5 hours before the ceremony however that will not be enough time for us. My bridal party consist of 9 girls, both moms, and the 2 flower girls.

That’s a great idea Erica! I think that’s what I’m going to do. Do you plan on having a limo that takes your girls from the hotel to the venue? Or just have everyone drive/carpool there?

Most definitely. We're getting rooms the night of the wedding so it will work out for everyone in the morning so they can drive home

Wow, yeah an hour to get ready is ridiculous! I haven't quite decided yet. My venue has a really great space, but it's kinda small for as many people as we would have, so I'm thinking about doing hair and makeup ahead of time and just getting into my actual dress at the venue.

I think it's totally do-able to get ready elsewhere and do the finishing touches/relax prior to the ceremony in the bridal suite. Maybe pop the bottle of bubbly there! Whether you choose to utilize that room or not, I don't think you can go wrong as long as you plan for the extra time you may need!

I have the same issue, we are only allowed an hour early also. We are using a nearby hotel to get ready and having photos taken there as well!

We have the same situation, only can use bridal room an hour before. I rented an AIRbnb for all my maids and mother. We are making our own bouquets on Friday then hair make up and marriage on SATURDAY! It will be the best sleepover!

The venue that I chose has a bridal suite that I’ll have access to the entire day of the ceremony and the day before. A lot of the venues that we looked at had a one hour limit and I said yeah that’s not going to work. A hotel suite will be nice especially if it’s close to the venue!

We have a similar set up. We're getting ready at the hotel, hair makeup, bridesmaids dresses etc., then there is a bridal suite at the venue. I don't exactly know where I'll put on my dress (either at the hotel or venue), but I do know we'll all sit and relax and sip some drinks in the bridal suite!

My venue only allows us to do touch ups in our bridal suite. My mom fortunately lives only 5 minutes from our venue so I am having my hair/makeup people do it there.

I think based on travel time and so on that you should already arrive dresses to this location. You can have your photographer take pictures of you in your dress at the bridal suite. I say get ready at hotel, do get ready pictures and the first dress pictures here and then head with everyone to the venue and had some more shots here. This can be another hangout spot until is time to walk down the aisle.

So at our venue we dont have the option of getting ready so we are getting 2 suites at a hotel and having the girls get ready in one room and the guys in another.

They could add on your veil in the bridal suite, if you're doing that. That could make a good picture.
