Getting ready - Need advice/opinions

I’m getting ready at an AirBnB that’s about 30 minutes away from the venue. My plan is to eat breakfast, hang out and get my hair and makeup done there then hop in the car and drive to the venue to put my dress on.

I’m not doing hair and makeup at the venue because the bridal suite can comfortably fit only 4 people and I have about 20 people who will be in and out getting ready (bridesmaids, jr bridesmaid, mom, mil, step-mil, hair, makeup) AND the boys will be hanging out at the venue during the day and I don’t want to risk being seen by my FH.

Are these plans crazy? Did anyone do something similar? I wish the bridal suite at the venue was larger but it was the only con about our beautiful venue.

Two reasons why I don’t want to put my dress on at the AirBnB is: 1. Less risk of it getting dirty when moving from point A to point B 2. I can hardly sit in a chair in my dress let alone in a vehicle

I picked an AirBnB with plenty of room and natural lighting for pictures and the venue will also be beautiful for pictures while I put in my dress.

Plenty of people get ready at home, a hotel, an airbnb, wherever. Many venues don't even have bridal suites. I don't see what's crazy about it.

I don't think it's crazy! If that is what you want to do to feel comfortable and relaxed, it's a good plan.

I think it sounds like a great idea. Many venues don’t have suites so waiting til later to come over and dress there will work. Definitely don’t want to take a chance of something happening to your dress on the way.
