Getting ready on wedding day vibe

Lulu, on August 24, 2019 at 11:05 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 9
How are you or how did you? With all your BM? Just you? I am debating this...I know it will be fun with my girls but maybe a little chaotic?? I am worried I won’t have time to breath and think and internalize the moment! Any thoughts?

I’m getting ready with my bridal party (maybe my Mom and future Mother in law), since there will be less than five people. Since you’re worried about having time to breathe, you could try stepping away to the bathroom by yourself for fifteen minutes. I’d probably do that Smiley smile

Daughter knew a big group could quickly get overwhelming for her, so she split things up the morning of. Only she and I went to the HMUA's studio early in the morning. Most of the BMs met up at the one of the girl's parent's nearby home and helped each other with HMU. We all met back up at FOB & my home around 11, for a light lunch and the photographer arrived for some "getting ready shots." The BMs and I put our dresses on before we left for the venue around 12:30, but bride was still in her leggings & button down. The final BM (mom of the four FGs & RBs) met us at the venue at 1 for getting bride into her dress, wedding party & first look photos. The kids' dad brought the FGs & RBs to the venue about 2 pm, so there was time to do photos with them, but they weren't bouncing off the walls (too much...). We had a room where we could all "hide out" and have a little down time & refreshments as the guests began to arrive. Ceremony began at 3:30. Early on, daughter considered having all five bridesmaids and the kids with us from fairly early in the morning and realized that would be WAY too stressful for her. Spreading out the arrival times worked great for her.

So I got my hair done by myself then went to brunch with my bridesmaids and then we all changed at a bridesmaids house

Forgot to say that I liked getting my hair done by myself because it kind of gave me time to myself and just process my thoughts

Myself, my mom, and my sister (moh) all got to the venue (we had a bridal suit) a few hours before my other girls just to make sure everything was set. The rest of my girls came for hair and makeup later on. It was nice to have some time with just my mom and sister before things really got going.

We are doing a DW, and they charge for the bridal suit and the salon won’t come up to my suit so to stay in budget I will get ready with my sister(MOH) and my mom at the salon and then have my Bridesmaid meet me in my suit.. for the rest of the getting ready

So I gave all of my bridesmaids the choice to get ready with me or on their own and meet up. All but one is getting ready with me. We will be getting ready in my apartment and hair and makeup will be coming to us. I plan on getting breakfast and lunch for the girls so everyone eats. I plan on doing some light drinking with mimosas to lighten up the mood and playing music. I just want everyone to have fun and be stress free

That is similar to what I’m expecting for mine...a few mimosas and feel good music: ) also like someone here suggested taking a few moments alone to catch my breath and connect with my emotions: )
