Getting your Period or on your period the day of your wedding dress

Sandra, on March 10, 2014 at 2:16 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 22

Not sure if anyone has ever asked this but wanted to know how we can do it if we get our period or if we are on our period. Is there a way we can cut our period,

Talk to your dr before doing that erin suggested.

I would highly suggest not taking any other suggestions than speaking to a medical professional.

That is what the pill is for

(I'm just going to not take a week off from it)

However if you arent currently on something, do go and talk to your doctor

Every one of my friends that has been married, which is a lot, has said that they were so stressed the weeks leading up to their wedding that they never got their period on time. I honestly think this is the situation for most woman, so I honestly wouldn't worry about it.

People need to understand that if you haven't skipped the placebos over a LONG TERM amount of time that this plan may not be as full proof as you think.

First, talk to your doc if you aren't currently on birth control.

Second, I have done the method that Erin is suggesting for the past 5 years or so, I have periods when I'm able to have them. As in, I control when they're here, and when they're NOT here.

It took a good while to get everything right and not have the spotting, etc. Just forewarning you.

My period is expected for my wedding! Ugh. I'm restarting birth control next month and when the time comes, I will stop my period with it.

I second all of the ladies above.

    Speak to your doctor.

My period will be coming around my wedding day, and honestly, it doesn't bother me. My main concern is being all crampy and bloated, but that's why god invented Midol. And champagne. I can't do BC because the hormones mess me up worse than not being on BC. So I'll just have to deal with potentially having my period on my wedding day. I'll be so busy and excited about the wedding, I probably won't even realize I have cramps! :-)

Speak to dr. i tried to skip my period once & my body was not having it - cycle was then off (on birth control) for months. i'd rather have it on my wedding day. but everyone is different, so speak to your doctor.

@evily I'm glad someone else here thinks that way. I am so not a fan of unnatural hormones pumped into my body. If it comes, it comes.

I am able to easily manipulate mine with BC pill but I've talked to my doctor about it and am very careful using a second type of BC during the times I've done this and after for a few months. I moved it two weeks over the course of a year to make sure I wouldn't have it on my wedding day or on my honeymoon Smiley smile

I don't know about where you live, but in the UK there are period delaying pills you can take. This might be an option if you aren't already on the BC pill.

I'm on the mini pill, which is just one hormone and you take every day with no breaks. I love it, but it can mean I cannot predict any periods at all. I only get them every few months though and they are very light. I just hope I won't have mine next month!

Breast feed! J/k but ill be breast feeding and hoping to God that my period hasn't started back by wedding time. I haven't had a period since apr 2012 from breast feeding and getting pregnant again. And if it does come back hopefully the mini pill will keep it away.

This is why I plotted out my periods for all of 2014 when trying to come up with wedding dates! I'm well aware I'm crazy, but I didn't want to worry about being crampy/bloated/cranky on my wedding day, and I want to fully enjoy my honeymoon Smiley winking

I know some people have skipped their period by skipping the placebo pill week and just starting a new pill pack. I tried it before and it didn't work (and screwed my cycle all up)

I picked my date around my period like MrsH14. I am on BC but was not going to chance it and really want to enjoy my honeymoon.

I use the Depo shot for birth control. You get injected every 3 months and it completely eliminates your period as long as you get your shots on time every time. It eliminates the worry for me for the big day.

I needed to move mine and my doctor made me a calender to slowly reschedule it. I'm prone to hormone crazies and break through bleeding. So far over the last 5 months it's been a success and I'm almost where I want to be.

I picked my date around my period too,...it was originally expected for the week before, THEN, my period came late one month and threw it all off...I was soooooo mad!

Your body doesn't NEED a period, it's perfectly fine to skip. But, I would talk to my doctor as the other ladies have said.

If you are on birth control pills, don't take the blue/green pills, immediately go to the next pack. If you're not on bc, then I've got nothing for ya. ;-)
