Gift card for bridesmaid gift??

I would have loved that when I was a bridesmaid

I gave all my bridesmaids a gift card! I wanted to give them a gift they would actually use rather than something that would look cute in a picture and then end up in a junk drawer.

I think that's a great gift! I'm planning on getting gift cards for my girls!

That's a great idea! I would rather them be able to get what they want instead of something they'll possibly never use.

I agree with what other are saying. That's a great idea and somthing I would have enjoyed when I was a bridesmaid.

Im planning on doing a gift card for some of them along with something I know they will.love. Shop like it's their birthday!

I plan to give a gift card along with something personal. Like, my best friend cooks and bakes and I was going to get her a personalized cutting board or rolling pin from Groupon.
my cousin adores sunflowers so I planned to get her something sunflower related. My SIL loves to read, so a book store gift card etc.
any of the wedding “props” like jewelry, pashminas, silky robes etc are not a gift. They are a prop. If they wish to keep them awesome, but those weren’t chosen specially for them. They are wedding attire. That’s my opinion, which I didn’t have until I read up on it and also experienced it myself as a bridesmaid.
So, I think gift cards are actually quite thoughtful and would be appreciated!

Not at all! I totally think bridesmaids would prefer that over a gift they didn't pick out.

I'm planning on gift cards for their main gift along with something small. I think it's great to personalize the gift cards to their taste (bookstore for the reader, Starbucks for the coffee drinker, Sephora for the make up lover, etc.) and it sounds like you're already doing that.

I would have LOVED to get a gift card.
