I’m in this same situation right now. I’m not close to my dad and don’t have much of a relationship with him, but he’s started to make a small (very small) effort in recent years. He’s not walking me down the aisle (my brother is doing that) and we aren’t doing a dance. I didn’t want him to feel totally excluded though so he’s carrying in a bottle of wine during the processional and placing it in our anniversary wine box.

FH and I were just looking at gifts last night and I’m considering a decanter set or a money clip.

I got my dad (similar situation) a keychain. But I still can't get a 100% confirmation he and his latest wife are even coming....🙄

Alcohol was (and still is, honestly) a major problem with him & accounts for the strain on our relationship so I’d like to stay away from anything alcohol related 😬 he is a smoker tho, so I’m considering a personalized refillable lighter. He is 100% redneck & I don’t think he even owns a suit so cufflinks won’t work lol I do have a photo of us from when I was little, & I was thinking about printing that out & framing it for him, but he lives in a camper on a friends’ property so I’m not sure he has any place to put it.
