Gift for the Officiant?

Emily, on April 3, 2021 at 10:42 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 5
Our officiant is a family member who is a preacher. What would we get him as a wedding gift? I was thinking about a donation to his church but would be an appropriate amount?

Our officiant is also our pastor / great friend. I would do maybe $200 which is the fee for a regular officiant. Or get them a personal gift maybe a gift card to a good restaurant or for their hobbies. In my case I would get our pastor something musical.

If you give money, check the local rates of officiants on thumbtack.com. because it's a relative, I would get a physical gift they can use long after the wedding related to their personal interests.

We gave ours a framed picture of the four of us (his wife was at our ceremony as well) and a $200 donation to his church.

Our officiant is a family member also. We are going to pay for the hotel room (she is out of town) and a monetary gift.

Our officiant is a friend, and we paid for her hotel room as a thank you. 😊
