Melissa, on July 26, 2021 at 8:49 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9
Would anyone be willing to share your gift ideas for your bridesmaids?

Thanks

So to “propose” to them I did makeup bags with little things like nail polish, face masks, makeup, etc. For gifts near the wedding as a thank you I’m not positive yet but I put together a list of ideas including tote bags, jewelry, gift card to their fav place, blanket, socks, candles, wine, sweatpants, coffee. I’m really unsure lol. But I do know that I want to personalize them for each person, and by that I mean get something I know each one would enjoy. I know for sure I am not doing any monogrammed stuff or anything that says “bridesmaid” on it because in my opinion those are a waste and they can only use it once and then it just takes up space. I want to get them something they’ll actually use/enjoy. And I will definitely be writing each one of them a thank you card.

For the proposal, I wrote them a personal note and filled the box with a ring pop, nail polish, bath bomb, hair scrunchie, and face mask. Nothing too crazy.

For day-of, I'm gifting them a stemless wine glass from W&P Porter, satin pj set, monogramed trinket tray, and I'll have a mini bottle of their fav alcohol. I'm on the fence about fuzzy slippers lol.

Def. stay away from anything with their wedding title on it or your wedding date. Items like those tend to not get used much after the wedding. Get something you know they'll enjoy and use often!

For my proposals, I got a set of “will you be my bridesmaids” cards in my wedding colors off Amazon and added a simple knot bracelet that coordinated with their dress color but I didn’t ask they wear it during the wedding.

For their day-of thank you gifts, each girl got floral PJs, fluffy slippers, a face mask and then a designer pair of sunglasses, a purse or watch tailored to their style. My MOH got the pjs/mask/slippers and then also an Amazon gift card and necklace from Tiffany.

For day of gifts, I'm giving them their jewelry, but personalized for each person (my FSIL loves earrings but my sister doesn't have her ears pierced). I'm getting them a small gift card to a favorite place, and something else personalized (my FSIL loves disney and reading so thinking some sort of custom bookmark). My bridesmaids are all different sizes so I'm skipping robes/PJs, and going with a button down shirt/flannel for each girl to get ready in. and then a bag to put everything in. I'm thinking of throwing in mini bottles of champagne and orange juice with a reusable straw and a champagne tumbler.
