Gifts for a few people in the wedding

Sarah, on September 21, 2021 at 11:43 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
First off, I need ideas on what to get my fiancé as a wedding gift from me to him.
Secondly, I’m wanting to get the lady who is ordaining us a gift. She is my boss, I absolutely love her, she is the best, and she got ordained just so she can officiate my wedding (since my other ordained lady moved cross country).
Thirdly, Do I get my step dad a gift, to thank him for walking me down the isle and giving me away?Lastly, I have bought my bridal party, flower girls, and soon to be mother in-law their gifts already. My fiancé is covering the groomsmen party and the ring bearer, along with my mom. Is there anyone we are forgetting?

Generally bridal party members and people who financially contributed to the wedding get gifts. Outside of that, its totally your preference!

For fiancé gifts, I’ve seen people get a nice quality watch, maybe with your anniversary engraved on the back. My fiancé and I plan on our rings being our gifts to each other so that’s an option, too.

For your officiant/boss/friend, you could do a good bottle of champagne with two champagne glasses, with a handwritten letter/card telling her how much she means to you & saying thank you.

Is FH a drinker at all? My FH loves whiskey and has been loving Woodford reserve lately, I found on their website I can engrave a bottle and I found a label on Etsy I can customize, so I'm going to get him an engraved bottle with our names as well as the custom label. I'm also getting him cufflinks off Etsy with my handwriting on them, and a pair of boxers with my face on them just as a joke gift!

Honestly, Etsy has been a lifesaver for me for gifts cause you can just search "gifts for (insert wedding role) and a bunch of stuff comes up!

My step dad and mom are paying for half of our honeymoon and my fiancé’s parents are paying for the other half.

That’s a good idea for my boss who is officiating the wedding. My fiancé is obsessed with his smart watch. I am thinking either cuff links or since he is a geeky nerd and loves iron man, something iron man or Marvel.

I just got my FH some custom cuff links for the wedding day. He's really into monster trucks and I found a shop on Etsy that does a TON, I mean like over 800 styles to choose from. While he probably won't really use them much again, I know he'll love having them on our day.

I was in the same situation with the officiant (was supposed to be my boss, but she felt uncomfortable with COVID and she's seeing her elderly grandmother the next week). We were going to get her a gift certificate to her favorite restaurant, but we were going to do like $300 worth. She loves going out to eat so it would've been the perfect gift for her.
