gifts for bachelorette party hosts/attendants??

APZ, on February 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7

Hi all! My bachelorette party is this coming weekend--two of my bridesmaids are hosting a mountain and winery weekend in my honor. I can't wait! Smiley smile

As a hostess gift for each of them, I got them each a gorgeous pair of earrings. Is that enough?? I spent about $50 on each pair of earrings-but I'm not sure that's enough of a gift considering the amounts they and other friends are spending to be there.. (several had to buy flights, take off work, not to mention the $ for lodging/activities/etc.) If you think I should add anything else to their hostess gifts- any suggestions?

Also-should I do something small for the other girls attending as a thank you? If so-suggestions?

If they show an affinity to one of the wines at the tasting you can get them a bottle.

That sounds like such a fun Bachelorette! I agree with Nonna, definitely buy them each a bottle of wine as well! And if the earrings are for them to wear in the wedding that's not considered a "gift."

Honestly, a hand written thank you note goes a long way. I've hosted 2 bachelorette weekends (I was a member of each of their bridal parties) and attended another one. My favorite "gift" I got as an attendee was the hand written thank you. The bride wrote one for each of the guests and handed them out individually over the course of the weekend and I think it really meant a lot to each lady in attendance. Something heart felt is always a lovely gift.

The earrings aren't for the wedding-just cute earrings I thought they would like. One of them does happen to match my wedding colors though by chance (That bridesmaids favorite color happens to be blush/pink)... All the bridesmaids are picking their own jewelry for the wedding since they are all in different dresses.

I do like the idea of a bottle of wine since we are doing several wine tastings!

Wow, I didn't know this was a thing! I was recently in my cousin's wedding and we all flew to Nashville for 4 days and didn't even get a thank you!

@Mrs Sullivan- wow..I'm sorry, but that is awful! I'd be really irritated at that..I've really tried hard to show appreciation for all that has been done for me leading up to my wedding-the last thing I want is for those friends and family members I care about the most to feel like I was ungracious for their efforts.

@Amanda, I agree! I was definitely planning on taking care of my girls with their gifts to show appreciation. I think an added little something at the bachelorette is a nice touch! This wedding was kind of like a bridezilla situation. There was no budget talk on the dress ($300), the HMUA ($250 each) or the bachelorette party (like a few thousand dollars). I just want to make sure I am NOT that way.
