Gifts for Father of the Bride and Mother of the Groom

Kelly, on May 28, 2019 at 5:59 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 9

I need non-cheesy gift ideas for father of the bride and mother of the groom! Looking for something that they can use even when the wedding is over!

Thanks!

Just shop for them like it's their birthday, it doesn't need to be wedding related. We gave our parents each a photo book of our wedding pictures a couple months after the wedding.

Thanks! I was thinking of a personalized yeti and a personalize beer mug but wasn’t sure if that was special enough for a wedding thank you gift!

    Hi Kelly Smiley smile

I would also agree with the PP!

Shop like you would for their birthdays! I like the idea of the personalized yeti and beer mug!

Does the FOB or MOG have any hobbies or interests? You could gift them something based on these Smiley smile

My fiance got my mother a ring dish that says "I'll always take care of her" and I'm going to get her a picture frame. I'm getting my dad a patch to sew on the back of his tie with a picture of me as a baby with him, then a sign that says "out of all our walks, this is my favorite". So pretty traditional MOB FOB gifts, but not cheesy in my opinion.

I'm going to pick out one of our engagement photos and write a note to my FH mother and give that to her on the day of the wedding. Something to thank her for raising my FH Smiley smile

Those are fun! Maybe do something sentimental too? Tie or handkerchief with something special written on it for dad. A necklace/ piece of jewelry she can rewear.

I think for Father of the Groom we are going to do a tie patch label like this... so he can wear it during the wedding https://www.etsy.com/listing/586627019/custom-photo-tie-patch-label-groom-gift?ref=user_profile&bes=1

And my dad isn't in the picture, so no idea what to get my Grandpa (who will be walking me down the isle). Might do the tie patch for him as well...

Still working on everyone else... his mom is fancy when it comes to jewelry so that's out of the question. Probably going to try and find her something related to wine!

Once we get our pictures back we'll be making our parents photo albums from Shutterfly. And maybe for Grandma as well in case she can't make it.

Not quite sure what we're getting his mom yet but I've found some cute ideas all over the internet. I'm thinking about getting her a jewelry box that says "thank you for raising the man of my dreams" and a bracelet or necklace to go inside it

My son is giving me away. He's also a groomsmen. So we'll probably get him a groomsmen gift and I want to give him something extra. He's always been such a sweet boy. I'm just not sure what to get him yet
