What are you guys (if you are getting anything) getting for mother of Bride and mother of the groom for gifts? Is it something that needs to be done?

It is definitely a thoughtful and nice touch to get a little something for both sets of parents if you have a good relationship with them but it's not a requirement. I see it as thank you for all you ve done for me. How big or small the gift is totally up to you, it can be as simple as a hand written note and maybe anice framed photo of the two of you or you can get jewelry, restaurant gift cards, something related to a hobby they have, or a basket of favorite their things. Do what feels best for you 💜

Gifts for parents are a newer thing. They fall in the category of sweet to do but definitely not mandatory.

For my wedding, I gave my mom (MIL was deceased) an embroidered handkerchief that said Mother of the Bride, the date, and “For happy tears only.” I got the father’s matching tie tacks with Father of the Bride/Groom, and on my dad’s I added on the back “Of all our walks, this one is my favorite.”
