So I am getting married in December this will be my second wedding. I want my daughter who is my heart to give me away at my wedding as a symbol that she accepts my new husband. I am going to have my dad still walk me down the isle since I don’t want him to miss that opportunity but it is really important that I have my daughter give me away. Has anyone done something like this? Any ideas to how to do this? Any thoughts or suggestions

After the ceremony begins and the priest or officiant asks "Who gives this woman to this man," she stands up and says "I Do" (or whatever language you like best). Even in very traditional ceremonies which still include this language, it's not any more complicated than that.

Why not walk with both of them? Daughter on one arm, dad on the other. Also, how old is your daughter? Since that will affect how much of a "role" she can do in the ceremony.

I think this is a super cute and thoughtful idea. Nothing wrong with having them both walk you down the aisle. Your dad can walk you down and you could also walk down with your daughter.

I think that its beautiful suggester which is a very beautiful thing to do. I will hopefully have my sons walk with me. But they are all spread out My oldest son is in the army and is in UK right now. But I have all of my daughters to stand with me and for us we will have that memory as you will too. I am very happy for you
