Giving your FH a gift for his bachelor party?

bPm 2015, on January 10, 2015 at 8:31 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9

I know some of you may be turned off by this idea, but FH and I have a unique situation so I'm really excited about this and I think he is too. (I've dropped a hint that I have a surprise for him). He is going on a 5 day ski trip/bachelor party. We've lived 5 and a half hours apart for the last 2 and a half years, so we rarely see each other and let's be honest the last 2 and a half years have been a bachelor party for him. Lol That being said, and the fact that I naturally love doing little things to surprise him I decided to put together small gifts for him to open along with a note each night that he'll receive when he's there. (An engraved monogrammed bottle opener, ski socks, money for a drink at the bar "on me", plus a few more. It won't be a big deal, he won't open it in front of his guys, it's just something small for him each day to add to the fun of the trip. Is anyone else doing something like this?

That's super cute! I was thinking of giving him a beer cake lol. Nothing special, but I think he would enjoy it. He is going fishing on the lake with the guys.

Thank you! I'm really excited about it. I just miss him so much and by the time I see him next, his party will have come and gone. I love your idea, that would be so sweet! You should, he would be so happy. Good luck!

The true gift I'm giving him is leaving him alone. I know we're getting married and spending the rest of our lives together blah blah blah BUT the last 13 months for him have been me overloading him with wedding stuff. It's a lot for men to go through the wedding planning process. I think you should just leave the poor guy alone and not give him reminders of you. Let him just be a guy with his friends for the night or the trip.

Haha. @futureMrsC . Honestly , I don't know where some of you get all these "gift for this and that " from.

OP your idea is cute , and if it makes you happy go for it.

Wedding's cost enough and your man's gift should be you and you alone. Oh and a ring. I just don't get why you need to spend even more.. But maybe thats just me.

Hahahaha, I totally thought that thread was going to say that you were hiring a stripper for him. Your actual plan is cute.

Yes but my gift involves fishnets.

Kidding! Kind of.. but this is a cute idea! I'd like to maybe stash a note or small gift in his bag before he leaves.
