Glass/Engraved Table Numbers-- where??

Anna Maria, on July 29, 2015 at 4:41 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 7

Hi all,

For our wedding, I am looking to use glass standing "blocks" with the table numbers engraved. I have someone who will do the engraving for me, but am having the hardest time finding where to purchase the glass! Can anyone help point me in the right direction? I've included a picture of what I am envisioning. Thank you for the help!!

Sincerely,

Anna

Hi Anna - that is really pretty. FYI - if you change your avatar, you will get more responses. The default rings are often associated with trolls or spam and will get passed over. Also, when you have a few minutes, be sure to read the new to WW link on the forum homepage. Welcome and happy planning!

I have never seen these but like WW Christina said I would try Etsy. We have a place called "Swoozles" here in NC. They make everything personalized under the sun. So maybe if you have a place like that.

I don't think glass etching is too hard. My mom does it. But idk where you would get glass blocks.

Thanks y'all! Yeah, I can get the etching down easily I just need to find the blocks! I'm going to try places like Home Depot and Lowes? They have things similar on etsy but it's mostly acrylic and they already to the engraving for you-- so it's more expensive, of course.

Somewhere like Michaels or Hobby Lobby might have the blocks already cut for you too! My FMIL makes us these Christmas blocks and they are hollow so she puts lights in them with an etched design on the glass, she got the blocks from Michaels.

Do you have a glass or mirror shop near you? Most places that work with glass can cut to specific sizes you are needing.

Do you have a certain thickness that you are looking for. I find that if I type in the dimension into google that I have greater chance of finding other options as well. That worked the best for me when I was looking for glass table tops.

I don't know if you have asked yet but a lot of times the engraver can order this material for you as they have direct suppliers
