If you have any gluten free guests what are you serving for alcohol? We only have ONE gluten free guest. We are doing wine and beer and possibly a full open bar. We are using an O'Dell beer and from what I'm reading none of the offered liquor at our venue (if we do open bar) is gluten free ex: Skyy vodka, Jack Daniels, Bacardi. I've read most wine is though. If you are gluten free do you know if this is true about wine? How do I accommodate this guest?

@Aime, I just wanted to say, as a gluten-sensitive person, THANK YOU. It is always appreciated when people take our dietary needs into consideration. It will relieve a lot of stress for your guest Smiley smile You da bomb.

ETA: Angry Orchard is delicious.. wine is ok too usually. I'm pretty sure champagne is ok also.

This is so sweet that you are double checking for her! As a gf guest, I would never expect you to accommodate me with special beer. Although hard liquors can include gluten, the distilling process typically makes it okay to drink for gf people and I've never had a problem with wine. So your options should be more than fine! It's so nice of you to think of this

My brother had ace cider at his wedding - partially because my SIL loves it, and also because they had a decent number of gluten-free guests.

It definitely doesn't hurt to live near their distillery!

My FH has celiac disease. Most ciders are gluten free, such as Smith & Forge, Angry Orchard, Stella Cidre, all Ace varieties and Strongbow to name a few. His preferred spirits are Rum (spiced and white such as Captain and Bacardi) and Vodka (Titos is his go-to), and wine is safe. We have to be cautious with liquor mixers such as blue curacao, some margarita mixes, and triple sec, as we've seen gluten hidden in these. If your guest brings her, chances are she'll know what she can and can't have. It is frustrating when my FH and I go places that are not exactly accommodating to him, but he usually just brings a flask to be on the safe side and not be a buzz kill to the hosts.

Good point @OP, accommodating one gluten free guest is not something to stress about. It is very nice of you to be so considerate of, but people that are gluten free know what they can and can't have. I'm sure she will be fine with this great selection you have!

ETA: Im gluten free also, and I never have a problem at the bar.
