God’s Knot color?

Kaitlyn, on August 20, 2019 at 3:58 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 7
I keep seeing that for the God’s knot unity they use gold, purple, and white for specific reasons. I understand the reason behind each color, but I’m wondering if it is acceptable to change the colors? Specifically the purple one. Does anyone know of a list of color meanings for these ropes? And if it’s okay if I change the colors?

I had no idea that there were specific meanings behind the colors, but I've seen people do their wedding colors or just plain rope, so I guess it depends on how much the colors mean to you.

    Yeah the
    Gold is for God
    Purple is for Husband
    White is for Wife

Each has a meaning as to why it is that color.
I really like the idea of using a different color for each, but I’m not too excited about purple. 😬

I was thinking more natural colors or like you said, wedding colors.
I feel like it shouldn’t matter, but I don’t want to look disrespectful or something.

I don't see why it would be any harm to designate a different color for the husband so long as the officiant or priest? describes that gold is for God, white for you, and whichever color for your husband. We are doing hand fastening and there are different meanings for different color ribbons/cords so FH and I will go over what we want to stick with as far as prosperity, love, honesty, etc. there are so many.

Diy’d mine with Wedding Colors. With the Metal color representing God.

As long as YOU and your spouse know what they mean to YOU, does the coolor really matter?
