Goes by middle name..

I would ask your officiant what the proper thing to do or the normal thing to do is. This is a question best answered by them as they would be able to make a suggestion on what other couples have done or what is normally done/legally done.

My brother also goes by his middle name. However for his wedding his first name was used. It all depends on the person I guess. My brother didnt want the priest signing the wrong name on the legal documents so he just let him refer to his first name

Agree about asking the officiant, but perhaps in the more informal parts of the ceremony officiant can use the middle name, and then for the vows his full name. For example, "Greetings and welcome today as we celebrate Jessica and John's wedding.... (Later in vows) Do you, David John take Jessica...?" Good luck!

I go by a nickname and my officiant switched up what he called me depending on which part of the ceremony we were in. He called me by my nickname for just about all of it, until we got to the vows when he used my full first and middle names. I also used my nickname on my STDs and wedding website, and my full name on the invitations (just some bonus info if you were debating what to call him on those!).

Legal name for the vows - usually first, middle, last. Unless you have an officiant that messes it up and calls you the wrong name throughout the ceremony like my nephew's wedding, ugh!
