Going Crazy

Tiffany, on January 27, 2021 at 6:34 AM Posted in Planning 0 10
I am literally going crazy trying to find the perfect wedding venue that's not so expensive, and the one that I found I don't like the setup they have for the wedding ceremony. They have the wedding ceremony inside the reception hall. I don't want to get married in the same room as my reception I want two different settings. But the price is so good and their are so many things included. Not only that they do amazing work. I feel like I will be really crazy not to take that opportunity. But it's really not what I want, I don't know what to do.

Have you asked if they would consider setting up the ceremony in a separate location? I found that many of the venues I spoke with were willing to work with requests - it might include a rental fee for a second space but, if you really love this venue, its worth considering.

That’s a tough one. I understand the monetary savings, but if it’s not what you want, would you regret it later? Could you use the space for the ceremony and flip the room for the reception? Flipping a room and using different decor can make a space look very different and feel like 2 different settings.

Keep looking! I don’t know if there are any wedding shows around you, but that’s how I found my venue. We didn’t even see their booth, but they sent out an email to all attendees. So we got a bridal show discount 😊

And don’t be afraid to think outside the box. State parks usually have some kind of venue. The one at the park closest to me is actually even beautiful! And they can be budget friendly. As can historical buildings. Good luck!

I would ask them if there was somewhere else they could set up the ceremony. But I would also keep looking to see if you can find something you like better.

I thought about it yes, but that's the thing the place only has 1 huge ballroom lol... That's why they do the ceremony in the same room as the reception.I don't want to be picky because the amount of work they do for the price is really cheap. They really are amazing, but having my wedding in the same room as the reception is something that I didn't invision. If I go anywhere else I am sure to pay triple the amount.Smh.

Think outside the box. Consider renting a coffee shop, an art gallery or yoga studio for the wedding

Could you book this place for your reception, but have your ceremony elsewhere?

Is there anywhere outside they could set up for the ceremony? That way you're still there but it won't be in the same space as the reception.
