Since all of our friends are scattered around the country, FH and I won't be having Bach parties. We were thinking of meeting up at an area with several bars with the friends we've invited once everyone is in town, which would end up being the night before the wedding. We have a 10 am ceremony. Is this just a crazy idea? I would really like to be able to spend a little more time with our friends but I don't want people to be too hungover or tired at the wedding. Has anyone done this before, and if so would you recommend it?

Nope don't do it! Even if the bars close at midnight, if you're all staying at the same hotel you'll probably wind up hanging out later than that. And for a 10am ceremony you're going to have to be up bright and early. I wouldn't risk it.
