Does anyone know any good secular pre-marital counselors? We are going to ask our psychiatrists (see mine this week) if they know of any couples therapist that does it, but I would like some recommendations (we live in the west part of Michigan near Grand Rapids) that would be good. It can also be online, we are open to that too. I just think it would be nice to work on our communication skills more and stuff. One thing he always says is that I tend to try to fix his problems and get really stressed and upset if they are beyond my control and I can't fix them and I need to work on listening more and stop stressing myself out.
We also are looking for good marriage books that we can read together too so if you have any recommendations that would be great. My mom gave me The Rules for Marriage already (she is a big fan of The Rules in general), but some of the advice in there is... questionable haha.
