Got my engagement photos back and i feel way insecure about them.....

You look stunning girl! I haven't had my photos done yet but I am trying to work around my FH schedule cause he too, is in the military. We do not live together and he is in a different state at the moment and we both have kids with our ex's. wedding planning from a distance is interesting. However, you look beautiful and I don't think any of them look like maternity photos. we have all probably gained some weight in the past several months (I know I have). It's a struggle, the days we live in now. Don't be too hard on yourself though. there is nothing wrong with being pale! Us pale girls need to stick together! LOL

Girl i feel your pain. When we got our engagement photos back i delt the same i was only able to select a few i liked even though our love and personalities shone through. I think your photos look great but i understabd your feelings instead of dwelling, i put that energy into being sure i would love our wedding photos. I since lost 35 pounds and our wedding is Saturday.


As in life we dobt always love the outcome but you that to properly u forward. Also #3 pic is my fav you look amazing!!!

Don't be so harsh on yourself! We are our worst critics but I find these photos to be nothing but gorgeous and the two of you look so nice and cozy together. In no way you are fat or frumpy and as for you being pale... Well, I don't see that but if that really bothers you, you can probably contact a photographer once again asking whether she could do some color correction to particular photos. Or maybe do it even on your own with some Photoworks or Photoshop, it's not that hard. Anyways, I think the pictures are very nice and you shouldn't be bothered at all.

OMG girl you're inspiring me haha! I just started back up on working out and eating right again since my fiance has now left for his next deployment! That is so awesome you we able to lose that much weight! I'm totally trying to do the same in hopes that it will at least give me a bit of extra confidence for my wedding day!

Your photos are BEAUTIFUL!!! I know we are our own worst critics. I am a bit bigger and I was concerned about the same thing with my engagement photos. When you look at the photos, I can tell you two love each other and I can feel emotion when I look at them. That is not an easy thing to capture! I think they are superb and you look gorgeous. 💕

Personally, I love the one of you two walking hand-in-hand, it looks so romantic!

Bottom line, if you don't like them, don't feel like you have to use them. If you think you're going to be upset later when you see them, then there's no rule you have to use them. You should use photos that make you feel beautiful! You and your fiancé can always take more on your own and use those instead in poses you find more flattering that accentuate you better. It's your day, and whatever you're using your photos for, they should make you happy!

My advice is try putting the photos away for a week or so, don't look! Even if you're tempted. See how you feel later with a pair of fresh eyes once you've had a chance to relax and unwind (it's a big surprise when something isn't what you were expecting). Look at them again and see how you feel with a fresh perspective and a cool head! If you're still not satisfied, then look at other options.

You look gorgeous. I actually love the dress. I am a little critical of my pictures as well. And 2020 (& life itself) has done a number on us all. If you really don’t like them try having another session with your photographer. Make a Pinterest board of poses you think you’ll look best in (it’s what I did and it helped a lot because I’m already awkward enough). You look good though if it means anything 🥰

Hahaha glad I could provide some inspiration. It was not our first choice since a rain storm came through exactly the weekend of our picture and we had no way of rescheduling, we had to improvise. But it definitely had a nice homeliness to it, so I definitely do not regret the location at all.

I actually really like them. I think they're pretty. The one of you walking with the wind blowing is beautiful! I know it could be hard to feel secure when you KNOW you've gained weight. Just work on it, work on yourself daily. If you're truly concerned about your weight gain, maybe go on walks, go to a fitness class. Something to stay active. Other than that i think you look really pretty.
