Has anyone gotten pregnant on their honeymoon? What was it like having a baby early into the marriage?

My parents got pregnant with me on their honeymoon. I think that should be planned though. u and ur fh should talk about when you wish to have kids. whether it be right away or not. you might be ready for kids but ur fiancé might not be.

My FH wants to start trying the month of our wedding, lol. He has no kids and I have 1. We already discussed this and we are on the same page. It's all up to how you guys feel.

I have friends that have a honeymoon baby. I fell like (though they've never said this) that they missed out on being a young, newly married couple. They had to live with family because they couldn't afford to live on their own and career choices were limited because of finances and a young child. Surprisingly, they didn't conceive again for 16 years.

Everyone is different. FH and I have been together 6 years and I hope a baby happens asap. But, it's ok to just enjoy being married first.

Though I wouldn't be mad if I got pregnant early in our marriage, I'd still rather just be married for awhile. We have never lived together so I feel like we need to get used to that first before throwing a baby in the mix.

We have a 9 month old and won't be getting married until he's almost 2 years old. I don't feel like I missed out on anything at all.

FH and I have talked about this a few times. We've agreed that I'll stop my BC once we're back from our honeymoon. The rest will be out of our hands :-)

FH would actually prefer that I already be pregnant now - but I don't really want to be pregnant on my wedding day. Although our engagement is short enough that more than one person had asked! Unfortunately because of my age, we won't be able to just enjoy being married a bit before getting on that, so a honeymoon pregnancy would be ideal for us.

Edit: FYI, I am 38 and FH is 40 and it's the first (hopefully only!) marriage for both of us.

FH and I are aiming for a honeymoon baby. It will be perfect timing since he's a teacher. Plus I'm turning 35 in a couple weeks...time to get cracking.

We are taking a delayed honeymoon a few months after the wedding. FH wants me to stop birth control before then- but I said no way! I need to be able to enjoy some drinks on our honeymoon.

But I'm almost 35 and FH is almost 39. We agree babies need to happen ASAP. A honeymoon baby would be great!

We've been trying for 1 1/2 years for a child together. I don't see why it would cause any harm to the relationship, but it's definitely something that's been thoroughly during the five years we've been together.

Me and FH want to wait for a couple of years. He's 27 and I'm 26 right now. But of course we don't want to be too late either...I would like to wait maybe 4-5 years but I think he would want it a little earlier, lol. We want to travel and enjoy being married first. Plus I am worried about the risk of my future kid having autism (it runs in our family) and I have lupus too, so I have to really plan in advance and talk to my doctors about preparing and stopping my medications because I'm already considered at high risk.

FH and I are young so we want to revisit kids in about 4 years. We have time to have kids and having a kid right now would make it hard for us to travel Smiley smile

I think we are going to wait at least a year and then decide if we are ready or not. I would like to have some time just as Husband and Wife, before kids come into the picture!

We have to wait at least a year due to FH having to leave right after the honeymoon.

It would be nice to wait a few years since we are both fairly young.. On the other hand if it happens we will be very happy!

Our very good friends are getting married in May and are going to start trying immediately. They are both on their second marriage. She is 36 and he is 34. I think they wish there was more time but are excited to start a family. FH and I are planning to wait 2 years. We want to bulk up our savings and be 100% debt free. Preferably be in a modest first home too. Time will tell though. I am kind of excited about the prospect of being a.married woman who could get pregnant. Haha
