Grand entrance. Is this weird?

Taylor, on June 29, 2022 at 8:12 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9

So we know what song we want to be our grand entrance into our reception. We have such a small wedding party (literally 4 people). Is it weird to enter to the same song? Maybe our DJ can just turn the song down a bit and announce us and turn the music back up? It’s just such a good song and I don’t want to have to bounce from one song to another so fast lol because there’s so little of us

I'm entering to the same song as my wedding party and we have 8 total. I think it's fine.

I think it’s fine. Especially since you have a small wedding party. This way you’ll be able to hear most of the song instead of two different ones. I like the idea of asking the DJ to turn it down while he announces you all.

I've been having the same thoughts about our ceremony processional music... we have a four-person wedding party, then my parents and I, then my partner and her parents. We could all walk down the aisle to the same song but my instinct is that it would be weird? However, I know I'm a huge overthinker. I think this is one of those things that brides agonize over but guests will never notice.

Your idea of turning the music up and down is great! Your DJ will probably know how to do that in a way that seems natural.

I do not think it is strange at all. We are actually doing the same thing. We have a wedding part of 4 as well. My girls and myself are all walking down to the same song.

I also went back and forth about the ceremony music! We're going to do two different songs for the ceremony but since I'm walking myself down the aisle my fiance and I have figured out a way to stretch out my entrance song a little bit. As far as our reception entrance I think I'm going to go with us all entering to the same song

For our ceremony we're going to do two songs. Our parents will walk with my two bridesmaids to one song and me to another and I've figured out how to stretch out my entrance song a bit. But for our reception entrance which is what I was asking about, normally the wedding party enters to a different song than the bride and groom. I think instead we're just going to have one song and our two bridesmaids, two groomsmen and our parents will all enter to one song and instead of switching to a new song for our entrance we'll just keep the same song playing. It's such a good song! I'd hate to only hear it for like 30 seconds
