So very excited. At first, I didn't think I wanted a theme for my wedding and reception, then I got to thinking about my first wedding. First one was just blah, nothing really special about it. It was just like a family get together. But I wanted this time to be special, unique and fun all at the same time. I began to think of things that my FH and I both like. What came to mind was: our pets (cats, dogs, snakes), being outdoors, board games, Grease, Cats (musical), Rocky Horror Picture Show. That is when it hit me. GREASE! I love Grease and he enjoys the movie, songs are fun and I love the clothing style from that era.
So, our wedding and reception theme is Grease! My dress is going to be a swing style (rockabilly) dress, so will the maid of honor and bridesmaids and flower girls. Everyone (including guests) will be dressed for that era.
Our reception will be turned into a mini carnival. With carnival foods (hot dogs, soda, popcorn, lemonade, etc) and games (not sure yet).
Wedding is August 2020. Luckily I have lots of time to get everything together. I am so excited
