Greenery Help!

Natalie, on August 22, 2018 at 1:30 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 9

Hi everyone! For my wedding October I'm trying to save on my florist and make centerpieces myself using fake greenery, something like eucalyptus but I'm open to suggestions! Everything I've ordered or found at Michael's, Joanne's, and AC Moore just look cheap and fake. Before I give up and decide to go with real greenery- does anyone have other suggestions?

I don't have any personal experience with them, but I've heard good things about Afloral! Also though, If you are just doing greenery, no florals, the cost of doing fresh might be comparable to buying artificial.

I had the exact same debate and we would up doing fresh. If you tell your florist that you just want greenery, make sure you specify how much. Many will assume you want a big bushy garland, which can be expensive. If you just want loose laid greenery, like we did, i had 3 florists quote me under $15/table

Hi Natalie! You received some super helpful feedback in this thread! Smiley heart

Comparing fresh greenery prices to artificial is a valid point by Amy, as florals are what usually rack up the prices whereas greenery you might be able to order natural without breaking the bank.

Are you open to natural or intentionally sticking with artificial?

Otherwise, for other artificial greenery options, Amazon might have some good choices, as does Hobby Lobby.

Yeri gives the names of some great types of greenery from Michaels too. Smiley heart

I agree— finding realistic looking greenery is tough. I found a lot of mine at Hobby Lobby. They always have 50% off sales on faux florals/greenery.

Hobby lobby has awesome Eucalyptus garland and they're almost always 50% off!I'll be using them with fresh hydrangeas though. (The vases next to the lantern is where they'll be placed)

If you go to target and check out the Magnolia (Chip and Joanna) section in the Home area, there are garlands with very convincing greens. You can get those and probably return them after.... I think they're $30 each
