Greenery/floral Chandelier?

on February 10, 2019 at 10:14 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11
Hi all! I’m likely getting married at a fire hall (we have one more venue visit before deciding for sure) for a springtime brunch wedding.

The floors aren’t great, and to keep people’s eyes up and away, I was looking for decor ideas to hang from the ceiling.

I love the idea of floral chandeliers (I’ll post a couple inspo pics below, but they’d be on a much smaller scale for the space) and found some easy-looking DIYs from wreath wire or foam on Pinterest.

I was wondering if anyone has had these at their wedding, and/or the best quality fake flowers for a decent price?

thanks!

I made my own chandeliers. I got the flowers from Michaels and the Christmas lights from Walmart and the crystals from amazon! Also bought the long white wisteria flowers from amazon as well! I used the sturdy hula hoops for the base and put wood rods into the middle to make sure it didn’t get bent out of shape. It’s super easy to do, it’s just a little time consuming. I have to make 5-6 and my wedding as 5 months away so I try to make one every 2 weeks.

Omg those are GORGEOUS. I was looking at the white wisteria on Amazon but wasn’t sure of how much to order/if it would come out cheap looking. I think I’ll go for it now!

I want to do a 2 or 3 tiered one for over the sweetheart table that’s a bit smaller in diameter. I like the idea of using hula hoops for the bigger ones. Thanks for the help!!

I found them at Walmart as well! They have all different sizes! I made some small ones for my bridal shower as well. I also got that green Frog tape and covered the colorful design of the hula hoop. I’m debating putting more greenery on the bars in the middle...

    Awesome, thanks again!!

I think it still looks good because of the sparkles, but greenery would look pretty too 😊

These are GORGEOUS! If you don’t keep them after your wedding, sell ‘em online or give them to a wedding planner.
