Grieving my mom on my wedding day

Hello to all my lovely soon to be brides !
I’m getting married in July 3! I cannot wait for my wedding day to walk down the isle and get to marry the love of my life and be surrounded by our families! But sadly I’m going through a very hard time.. I’m soon to be 23 years old.. I lost my mom august 15th 2013, and life’s been hard ever since. Planning a wedding has surely brought a lot of pain in my heart and sadness when all I want to do is be able to call my mom and ask her what her thoughts on little details for my big day.. I wished so bad that she was there the day I went to find my wedding dress and sure enough she was ! I felt her presence the moment I stepped into the dress that was for me, my heart beat so fast and all I could see was her face in the mirror looking back at me in the big mirror. I’m getting married a few miles down the road in my little home town where I grew up. I sure miss her , she was my best friend. She could light up the room with her smile alone. I’m incorporating a lot of remembrance items into my wedding for her but I just wish on my wedding day that I could see her one more time and she tell me how beautiful I am and how proud she is of me.. . All this wedding planning is so much fun and I love painting and doing all these little details with my soon to be husband! This weekend we are going to pick out his tux for our wedding and my bridal shower the following weekend! Eeeeekkk! I’m so excited.. but I’m struggling when I know my wedding day I’m going to be sad wishing she was here with me.. I’m writing this post today to see if some of these brides could give me some positive vibes my way! I am a Christian and I know she will be there with me on my day and I know one day I will see her again but I’m asking ... please drop me a comment to encourage me on my wedding journey and give me some happy things to read to cheer me up! 🙂
