Ok, this might skeeve out some brides but im a bride on a budget. I went to 5 different flower shops and each want ridiculous amounts of cash. While doing my groceries, I stopped to ask the florist at ShopRite what their rates were and let me tell you, I was very very surprised ! You only pay for the flowers your arrangement has and a dozen roses is only 10 bucks! 10 BUCKS (w your price plus card lol) ! I actually got to see an arrangement she made and it looked REALLY nice. If you want to save some money, spending $15 on a practice arrangement isn't a bad idea. I know I did and I am very very pleased. An arrangement of roses at a florist will run you $40 , at shop rite, they do the SAME thing and it was $30 less. Just saying ladies, think about it.

I am currently attempting to grow my own baby's breath for a grand total of $4.50 for the seeds, and getting 50 roses from Sam's club for $57.

I really wanted to give some of the local florist the business. But they quoted me 3x as much for flowers without any arrangements, just the flowers.

Emily I think wildflowers are the prettiest. When FH wants to get me flowers he just goes and picks them because he knows I prefer them to the dead flowers that you pay so much for at a florist or store.

My best friend had all of her flowers done by a Tom Thumb florist! They were beautiful and no one ever knew the difference. Do what you have to do! It's none of you business if someone else has a problem with it.

I would look into this as well. Never thought about going to a grocery store for flowers, I just knew I wasn't going to a florist. I def see nada wrong with it as long as it looks good.

I'm doing Costco flowers! Great price and good quality. I'll be using them for the bouquets and centerpieces but I'll be assembling them myself.

I'm trying the farmers market or Trader Joes. I did see some bouquets (carry-able size for bridesmaids) put together at Whole Foods the other week that looked amazing and were $18.

My intention is to go on a Friday morning some week to see what they have and how long they last if I put them together with floral tape and ribbon, but so far I keep procrastinating on it.

Mine came from my local H-E-B. I paid $70 for flowers that made up 4 bouquets. Perfect!

I'm using SAMs club and fifty flowers and a florist just for the corsages and boutineers. I don't have any worries. I don't see the sense in a florist for all the flowers!
