Groom Attire for Royal-styled Wedding?

Hey guys! So I’m trying to figure out how I would like to have my groom dressed for our summer wedding next year. The theme is royal, regal, majestic, etc… and was curious… could the groom dress like an actual prince? I put together a concept outfit for what I’m looking for, is there anything against a non-royal dressing like royalty? Now I did exclude some elements like the badges and any kind of hats that are worn so he wouldn’t look *exactly* like British royalty, but is this fine here? Groom Attire for Royal-styled Wedding? 1

    You should double check, but it's my understanding that the royals wear a military uniform fitting of their military rank. Honestly, this strikes me as the same as wearing the dress uniform of the Marines or Army or something when not actually in the military. If you want him to look regal, maybe a white tie tuxedo, like with the tailcoat and such?

    What does he want to wear? If you ask him, it will be more authentic. There are many ways men can look well-dressed. Check out formal wear or bespoke lookbooks. You can both wear crowns at dinner. The above is based on military uniforms that may offend guests or come off as Disney.

    You can look into patterned vests, cravats, jacquard tuxes that give off an old school look without being costumey

    My theme is “Winter Royalty” so I’ve been looking for ideas too. My fiancé wants a shoulder cape. They say “I have power” without being punched in the face by it. Try that out!
