Groom’s Cake at Shower?

Becky, on July 31, 2020 at 8:01 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 11
Hi everyone!
We are having a coed wedding shower. I think having a groom’s cake would be a good way to include him in the day. I’ve only seen groom’s cakes at weddings. Never showers. Is That’s some thing I can include in the shower, or would it be a little much? Thanks

Typically the host(s) decide on the shower menu, but you can make the suggestion.

I don’t think it would be too much at all! That’s great you are thinking of ways to include your groom Smiley smile

I don't think anyone is throwing me a shower but if we are able to do bach parties I wanted to make my grooms cake for that since we won't need that much cake at the wedding!

I think that would be really fun!! We served our groom's cake at our rehearsal dinner instead of at the wedding reception so it had more of a moment to shine! 🍰

You can do that. Usually whomever is hosting the party (your attendants more than likely) will provide a cake as part of the festivities. Typically if the groom's cake is not served at the reception, it is the dessert at the rehearsal dinner. Talk to the hosts since they will probably have something of their own lined up for you.

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate everyone’s responses.

I should have mentioned that I am handling the food and dessert to take off some of the workload on the person throwing it.
