Grooms Cheesecake?

ENG, on April 6, 2016 at 10:18 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

Fiancée is not too keen on the usual cake.. So for his grooms cake I wanted to do something with cheesecake! Has anyone had any luck with getting it to look good/themed/decorated? Pics would be awesome if you have them!!

No idea. But I googled and came across this place. It's in Houston though.

What kind of design do you want? I think fresh fruit and flowers look awesome on cheesecake, but I don't know if your groom will want that!

There normally isn't icing on a cheesecake, so I'm not sure how it can be decorated, unless its with fruit or flowers. Maybe they can cut it in a different shape or something?

I've been to several weddings where the main cake was cheesecake! (Including my sister's.)

This is the only picture I could find of it. Super simple piping, just the edge of the cheesecake around the outside.

I just got my groom the cheesecake he loves for his groom's cake. He is very picky about his cheesecake. And he absolutely loved it!

Okay, this is probably not what you meant but I thought this was a fun cheesecake design. Really, I think if you add a cake topper that he resonates with, it will be enough decoration. I'm sure a good baker would know just what to do as well! The cheesecake idea is great, by the way, because cheesecake is freaking delicious. ETA: Forgot the picture!

I'm doing a different cheese "cake" for my FH - it'll be stacked cheese wheels of actual cheese since he doesn't do dessert (and looooves cheese). But the plan is just to decorate with flowers.

We're having multiple cakes, one of which will be cheesecake. I think it looks best with fruit.

My SIL did this for my brother because that's his favorite, and had it made in the shape of a lifeboat (he was a lifeguard back in the day). Fully decorated and everything! It can definitely be done, it was delicious.
